Development Postponed (For Now?)
Hey, I'm not sure if anyone even reads these. But, I have put a lot of time, energy, and honestly more sweat and elbow grease than I should've. I constantly find myself running into one roadblock: TOO MANY IDEAS.
One of my biggest shortcomings as an RPG Maker guy who tries to make fun games as a hobby is that I constantly fall out of love with my projects. I would love to continue developing Gladiators, but I want to put it on the back burner for the time being. The Demo offers the first half of the game, albeit, with a handful of bugs I never fixed (Even though I went through about 9 times, and wrote down every bug with the first part of the game.) While I don't expect to return to this project any time soon, I do want to potentially remake it from the ground up in a different engine. Potentially something like Unity where I can give the maps depth, and make it all more 2.5D with pretty lighting and a more dynamic combat system.
That being said, I'll be back. I always am. I still have many many ideas I want to work with. But the first step is taking one back, and simplifying the super unorganized nature of a game that was initially intended to be a boss rush sim.
